Chicken Lombardy

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a large baking dish.

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then stir in the garlic.

Sauté the mushrooms until they are tender and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Remove the mushrooms using a slotted spoon and set them aside.

Toss the chicken breasts in flour to coat them evenly.

Cook each side for 1-2 minutes in the same skillet used for mushrooms. Then, transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish and scatter the mushrooms over the chicken.

In the skillet, combine the marsala wine, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes before pouring it over the chicken and mushrooms.

Combine the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses and sprinkle over the chicken. Add the green onions on top.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Pro Tip: Enhance the dish by garnishing with fresh herbs. Serve alongside roasted vegetables and a fresh salad for a complete meal.

This Chicken Lombardy recipe is a fantastic way to impress your guests or to enjoy a gourmet meal at home. It’s a perfect blend of flavors and textures, sure to be a hit at any dining table.
