Caramel Apple Jam

Ingredients:
6 cups finely chopped, peeled apples (about 6-8 medium apples)
3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 (1.75 oz) package powdered fruit pectin
1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
